What does job search coaching involve?
When most people think of coaching, sports come to mind. My family and I all love playing and watching sports - soccer, skiing, basketball, baseball, and football are among our favorites. As a Job Search and Career Coach, there are some elements that are important to anyone’s job search that I like to cover early on. We work out the details of your coaching package on our first call, when we map out a plan, and then jump in.
If you are a Junior or Senior in College - or you have a child who is - and the goal is to find a job in a mid-size or large company directly after graduation, the process should actually begin NOW, rather than after graduation. You or they may have gone to the college’s Career Placement office for some guidance. The challenge is that those departments are under-staffed and over-worked. You may be applying for internships. You or your parents have already likely invested thousands of dollars in the education; why not make a modest investment in a post-college job search? The Pre-Draft Job Search Prep program will evaluate your (or your child’s) real-time situation, with a view of taking steps to prepare for an effective internship search, or for a job search after graduation.
